A Different Vision for Cities, Dorn McGrath Lecture

April 15, 2016 UTC-8

The GW Department of Geography presents the Dorn C. McGrath, Jr. Lecture in Urban Planning and Geography, “A Different Vision for Cities” with Joel Kotkin.

In this presentation, Mr. Kotkin will challenge us to recognize the need for a diversity of urban forms: from high rise downtowns, to medium density mixed-use developments, to traditional suburbs. Different urban geographies make sense for people at distinct stages in their life cycle, from single urban professionals to middle class families and retirees.
